Hey,
thanks a lot for sharing your solution!
It looks like your method could really help me too.
Would you be so kind and share the flash dump you had read out back then?
That would be amazing!
Best regards

Sharing the firmware here would be piracy, so: please just don’t share it here!
yesterday I tried to read out my toniebox V4 with an esp32-S3 with the web interface. After readout I checked the files and noticed that they are 0xFF only. Seemingly somehow the whole flash got wiped during readout. I do not know the reason
Now I do not have a working Firmware. Where do I find a custom firmware so it at least works for the local teddycloud.
there is no custom firmware.
you might wait some days, then a new developer version with a new flasher is available (you have to enable that one through a new setting frontend.use_revvox_flasher). This flasher was written by @g3gg0 and checks the stability of the connection first and might be less buggy than the used esptool-js (which obviously can cause esp32 wipes in read processes…). So the new flasher is going another way to read and write the chip.
with this info you might ask a friend if he can help you out with a box and you might read the firmware of his box with the new flasher and use the firmware to rescue your box.
Sadly it was already hard to get this V4box. Luckily I also got a CC3200 Box.
I will wait for a flash reader to read the flash of the CC3200 directly.
Btw. whats with the Teddybox V4 firmware? I thought this was a custom firmware. I got it to compile but I got a different Accelerometer than the one in the firmware so it will take some time till it works on my PCB.
Hi,
I am facing the same issue. Were you able to resolve it and successfully use TeddyCloud?
