Cloud Boxine Connection

Hello everyone.

Teddycloud is running ufb. The whole thing via a Raspi 3b+ and in a Docker container.

New Tonies are recognized, but not automatically synchronized. I have to click on the download button in the Teddycloud server to download the content.

Since the connection to Boxine is still “red”, I suspect that the connection here is not 100% OK, although the sync itself is fine. I have imported the certificates… still hang on the auto synch as soon as “new” Tonie figures are put on.

Does anyone have any advice on where I can troubleshoot?

Thank you.

Hello @0xbadbee.

Thanks for the info. Of course, without background information it will be more difficult. Hope it’s not too much text and log.

Description:
Problem, no connection to Boxine or only “half”. New original Tonies are not synchronized automatically.

1st… Actions performed:
Teddycloud installed, Toniebox firmware update performed and prepared according to instructions (ESP) and connected to Teddycloud.

2nd… Expected outcome:
I place a new original Tonie figure on the Toniebox. The Tonie is displayed in the Teddycloud with a symbol and question mark. Tonie figure should be automatically synchronized and displayed in the Teddycloud with picture.

3rd… Actual outcome:
I place a new original Tonie figure on the Toniebox. The Tonie is displayed in the Teddycloud with a symbol and question mark. Toniebox flashes blue. A few seconds later, the box flashes red with the message Ant.

I can then see the relevant Tonie figure in the Teddycloud and click on Download in the middle. After a short time, the content is loaded and can be played. The picture of the corresponding clay figure is also available.

4… environment details:
Raspberry PI OS operating system. Docker and TeddyCloud version 0.6.3 installed (stack).

5… logs:

Here is the log when I set up a new original figure:

In other posts with the HTTP error message 304 I have read that you should create a new Docker image here and flash the box again including certificate import. I haven’t done that yet. Presumably this will be the faster way  I’m just wondering why it can’t establish the connection to Boxine automatically

manually, but when I click on Download it does

Thanks for your support and help.

Please search for the OTA messages within the logs.

The 304 can indicate, that the box tries to enforce an update, because you did a factory reset.
As teddyCloud cannot enroll updates, the box hangs in an update loop.
You need to set up the box before flashing it.

Thanks @0xbadbee for your answer. The box was set up once and the firmware was updated. I’ll check the log again, reset the box, set it up once with firmware check and then flash it again.

Hello @0xbadbee. I flashed the Toniebox back with the original firmware, removed it from the Teddycloud, reflashed it and connected it to the Teddycloud. Now the automatic synchronization works.

Only the icon display that I am connected to Boxine is not correct. But that is not relevant for now. Thanks for the support.
