Assign stored Tonies to custom tag

Hello everyone,

after the Teddycloud-installation, the new Tonies that have been placed on the Toniebox, are available for selection for the custom tags.
Is it possible to add the Tonies to this list, that were placed on the box before the Teddycloud-installation, which should be stored?

Thanks

Place the tonies again.

Or copy the files manually from the box sd card into the content folder (including the folders) and then click on the migration button in the content view.

Okay, for the second option, where exactly is the folder located? I’ve already put two Tonies on the box, but the /docker/teddycloud/data/content folder on the NAS is empty.
I started the script to install teddycloud in the Portainer docker under stacks/editor.

Blockquote
volumes:
- certs:/teddycloud/certs
- config:/teddycloud/config
- content:/teddycloud/data/content
- library:/teddycloud/data/library
- custom_img:/teddycloud/data/www/custom_img
- firmware:/teddycloud/data/firmware
- cache:/teddycloud/data/cache

The CONTENT folder is included on the SD card, but the TRASHCAN folder is not needed?

And unfortunately I can’t find the migration button. I looked in teddycloud under Tonies and Content tab.

You copy the content of the sd:/content folder (only the subfolders with the files, not the content folder itself!) into your teddycloud data/contentfolder.

The the folders and files should appear in teddycloud (hit F5!). If there is such file within the folder, it should show also the migration icons for the tag file (most probably a file without any ending )

If no file appears, the you might check the folder/files owner. Should be the same as the content folder.

Do the copied folders and files have to appear in teddycloud under Tonies/Library? There I only have:

Stammverzeichnis (root directory)
by
audioID

And then the two files from the Tonies which I had put on the Toniebox.
But I can’t find these files in the Synology File Station. Where are they hidden? Should I have added docker/ before /teddycloud/data/content in the script?

Under Tonies/Content I can see all tonies on the SD card. I can only delete tonies here, right?

If you copy the folders to content they will appear of course in the content section. If you open them there they might also appear in the tonies overview.

You can not really delete tonies in teddycloud. They will reappear after the next freshnesscheck, you can only use the hide functionality.

For the other questions… google is your friend. File rights and so

I created a folder that I can access via the NAS and copied a Tonie folder, including the file, from the SD card to /volume1/docker/teddycloud/data/content.
I changed the volume in Portainer accordingly, previously it was /teddycloud/data/content.

Now I no longer see any Tonies in the Teddycloud, not even the one I copied from the SD card.
And under the Library tab, where I actually want to assign the copied Tonie to a custom tag, it only contains the two Tonies I placed on the Toniebox and only the path: Stammverzeichnis/by/audioID
The Content tab is also empty, and no migration button is displayed.

What’s wrong?

Edit:
Using SSH, I found the original content folder: /volume1/@docker/volumes/teddycloud_content/_data

All the Tonie folders and files are stored there. This includes the one I copied from the SD card to /volume1/docker/teddycloud/data/content.
So why copy the folder from the SD card again, and how can I assign it to a custom tag without placing the Tonie on the box?

Thanks

You should see them in the content section. There is a migration icon.

Or copy them manually using ssh to the library and rename them to *.taf

That was the only option that worked :+1:
It’s strange that the download button is only available for one Tonie, this makes it much easier.

This button is only available if you placed the tonie once with teddycloud connected as the auth code stored on the tonie is needed.

So if the Toniebox is connected to the Internet immediately!?

I find it easier to add Tonies to the library in Teddycloud using the upload function. Rename the files from the SD card beforehand, I have seen that they all have the same name.

You’re contradicting yourself…

Download button under Tonies and Upload under Library are two different points.

this will not work for new tonies…

Sure. But you want to have the Tonies in the Teddycloud, so the easiest way is still to simply put them on the box and assign the content after the download. Accordingly, your way sounds extremely inconvenient to me for the goal you want to achieve?
The connection to the Boxine cloud does not seem to be the point you are concerned with…

Yes, “new” Tonies are not the problem, but “old” ones which are currently not available, only on the SD card.
