Backup.bin 0Kb. what can i do?

I just read the newbie guide and found that my backup.bin is 0kb. The other files that were saved with the read_all_files command are ok and complete. Can the backup.bin be backed up or created later? Is this necessary to go back to the original firmware? Toniebox was successfully flashed and run with Hackiebox bootloader and Teddycloud.
How can i go back to the original Firmware? Is there a guide?

First of all: please always check the output of the commands, if there were successful.
Please do a flash based backup as soon as possible before doing anything else. The file based backup is not enough to restore the box.

To remove the custom bootloader:
Just reverse the process and replace the custom bootloader on the flash with your backup.
But I would just keep the custom bootloader on the box and just set ofw1 as default boot slot, as this has the same result for the user of the box.

Thanks for the info. When issuing the commands everything was ok, no errors. To be honest, I didn’t pay attention to whether backup.bin was >0Kb. For me it was ok since it was created.
If I use ofw1 can the box also be used standalone without Teddycloud? If the box is sold in the future and is to be used normally.

This shouldn’t be the case, as the latest version of the cc3200tool is reading the flash twice and will show you such an error if reading fails.

That’s what ofw1 is for. Later users of the box may thank you, if they want to use teddyCloud and can skip the flashing.
