Benchmark GALAKTO alternative music player

Hi there,
found this kids audio player box as an alternative to Toniebox.
https://galakto.com/
It has basically the same use case principle, it plays by putting a tag on the box, but promoting it shall be a standalone player with no internet connection needed, wondering how it works…
May it be some flash drive, or even wireless flash drive, but this sounds a bit too enhanced I think…
It might be a closed system with limited content, but this would be the worst solution I could imagine.
Any insights available in this forum?

There are already unboxing videos of this on YouTube. There and on some product photos you can see that there is some kind of connector where the token is placed so I guess the content is actually on the tokens itself. So it’s probably a closed system with no possibility for your own content (yet).

What’s cool is the possibility to detach the speaker from the player and that you can charge it via USB-C and even wireless.

I‘ll try to get one in hand and will share it here…

Have a look in aldi , the have it

I’ve build an prototype for reading the content of the token.
It is just an usb2 thumbdrive with 2 gb of space, but the problem is. At start of the Player it checks the hash of everyfile on the token. This are just SHA256, but after all it compairs the hasheswith an signature file.

in my opinion, that player will be an excellent addon for the tonie network, but the hashes an the sig check made it not so easy…
