A question for the reverse engineering cracks:
is there a field in the Boxine API to see the current player position?
If so, what would happen if the field were also delivered when retrieving content?
What do you mean by “Boxine API” exactly? What fields are you talking about?
There is a problem that the Tonibox is unable to resume at the correct position after a restart for tracks that are longer than ~192 minutes.
I know from the CCC presentation that the box tries to send all possible data to the Tonicloud. These now end up in the Teddycloud.
I would therefore be interested to know whether the last playback position is also sent? Could this be persisted in the Teddycloud?
What happens if a cursor position is supplied when the data of a tonie is retrieved?
If the box continues at the specified position, this would be a possible workaround.
It would also open up the possibility of continuing the playback of a toni even though another one has been played in the meantime.
If it would be that simple @0xbadbee would for sure have thought about it.
I don’t think there is anything within the API especially since this has to work in offline mode as well.
It’s a general limitation which is inside the firmware no matter the model.
Nope
There is no data retrieved by the box
