Can't connect to Boxine - codeword owl

Hello dear community,

I can no longer connect to the Teddycloud. Unfortunately, I can’t figure it out from the posts I’ve read so far (yes, I tried).

Do you have any advice for me? Or should I just flash the box again?

That’s the problem.

Have you generated the server certificates again?

Which box version do you have? Did it ever worked? What have you done before the connection broke? Give more details please.

I had to flash the box again and honestly don’t know if I ever had a connection to the cloud afterwards.

How can I regenerate the server certificates?
I Have an ESP32.

Are these the files I backed up?

Unfortunately, I only have *.bin files and not *.der. Or am I doing something wrong?

You flashed an already patched Box again and therefore your client certificates in Teddycloud are wrong.

You can easily fix this by downloading the original Boxine CA and place it in both your certs client folders :

Connect to your Teddycloud container on your Docker host machine:
docker exec -it teddycloud bash
Download Boxine CA (one line)

Restart Teddycloud

Unfortunately, I have already imported the last working backup, which was also connected to the Teddycloud. Now the original Tonies are working again (my daughter already wanted to kill me).

Unfortunately I have now removed the box from the Teddycloud. Can I add them back somehow?

The ID is that one at the base of the Toniebox?

It’s the Mac address of the Toniebox and it should already be there in your case.

Also with the MAC address I got the message „cannot create …“.

And I can’t find the Toniebox in teddycloud.
How to add a deleted one?

You could add it manually in the tonieboxes.ini (or so) but that won’t help as if it’s not created automatically, it won’t be usable at all (would be only shown in the gui)

What ave you entered as Mac? It expects the MAC in lowercase and without : or -

But i’m not able too find the Toniebox.

So it is maybe the best way to flash and patch it again?

Is the box in your WiFi visible?

Not visible. Listed as „not connected“.

But new original tonies are playing. So it must have WiFi or?

If you do not see the box connected to your WiFi, then something is wrong. If you can play new tonies with the box, but the box is not showing up in teddycloud, then it’s not connected to teddycloud nor patched correctly.
