I watched a video and was deeply impressed… Now I have two 33200s myself and get the impression that it’s not really trivial but rather difficult and maybe even dangerous? I also find the beginner’s guide not very easy to understand… Should I better leave it, or do you think I can manage it?

Some general knowledge about electronics and command line programs/linux doesn’t hurt, but it’s not as hard as it might seem at first.
I personally soldered my my headers to the pins, but you can get away with thin wires (from resistors) just press-fit in.
Connecting it to the computer and then following the guides is like following a recipe.
If you’re really unsure about everything, you might have some luck reaching out to a hackerspace or makerspace in your area. Those people are generally helpful and interested in this kind of hacking/tinkering.
You can always ask questions here or on telegram and people usually will try to help you.
If you think you can write another guide from your inexperienced position afterwards, that might help others as well.
