Hi,
i have read all the documentation about installing HackieBoxNG on my CC3200. But i have 1 question. I download the CA from the toniebox and upload the teddycloud to the toniebox. But have i also to upload the CA from the box to teddycloud? I didn’t find any explanation about this.
In the wiki under dump CA it states
Place those files under /certs/client/*.
This gives you the hint that you need to place all three files in the Teddycloud docker Container. At least I interpreted that this is the part where you learn about it. Alternatively you would see it in the logs when firing up your cloud for the first time.
I’ve been thinking about either creating a forum post or updating the wiki to give a more detailed explanation about what to do.
It’s all in the docs really but I struggled a bit to get a noob friendly explanation of step by step instructions.
Okay thanks. And i can upload it via web interface on the box right?
I already thought that i have to upload it. Maybe do an explanation in the step by step guide that the extracted certs from the box have to be uploaded in the specific toniebox menu.
I’m not sure about that / I did not find it ad hoc when browsing through the settings, I just found that the location is displayed and can be altered.
I shut down the container and copied the certificates to the volume via the host path. For me it is under:
/var/lib/docker/volumes/teddycloud_certs/_data/client/
So for example it could be:
cp /home/Seb/tonie/ca.der /var/lib/docker/volumes/teddycloud_certs/_data/client/ca.der
(fix your path accordingly). Don’t forget about client.der and private.der too.
The client CERTs can be uploaded to tc using the webgui. In section settings for the general scope (like the ones which are used when tc downloads something from boxine (download in tonies list)) and in toniebox section specially for the chosen toniebox.
Yeah thanks for the help. My Box is working now. But one weird behaviour had i. I uploaded the teddycloud CA via CFW Webinterface. But i didnt received an “OK” like in the Docs described. But the box was found and is working with teddycloud.
