The charging port of our Toniebox doesn’t work properly. I’ve already tried to bend the negative pin a bit so the plug has a tighter fit but this didn’t help.
I need to place the box onto the charging dock very carefully and turn it until there’s the charging beep. Then it’s not guaranteed that the box is charging. Sometimes it just disconnects without getting moved. And sometimes the charging sound comes every few seconds or minutes.
Do you guys have an idea to finally fix this?
There might be a broken solder joint inside. The positive terminal is just one connection; if it’s broken, it could explain your symptoms. If you open the box, you can see the charging contacts on the circuit board. If the contacts (or just the positive terminal) are loose, simply resolder them.
I think i read about this issue on the official Toniebox Site some time ago. They said to use contact spray on the charging port, put the Box on and turn it a few times. I had success with this method.
