Howto: Cover for custom Tonie?

Im too stupid to understand how and where to store the coverimage.

Found the Folder with the tonies.custom.json File. So writing data in the file should be no problem.

But i dont find a folder called „ /custom_img/Logo.png“

Its from the wiki: tonies.custom.json config | Toniebox Hacking

If I understand right, i can upload the coverimages also to a picture hoster. Is there any suggestion?

I know the problem…

Off the top of my head, I wouldn’t use a host for the images. It could just happen that the pictures are simply gone, because they are normally deleted from the host at some point. Then you start all over again.

Do you found a solution for this problem? Can i host the images locally?

Use the custom_img volume for that.

I now somehow found out, that in portainer is a strange connection with a volume that seems to be mount as custom_img:

I made an entry in tonies.custom.json and the basic stuff seems to be shown in Teddycloud. But i get really confused by getting the right path to the Coverimage!

In WinSCP the path is:
/var/lib/docker/volumes/5c5abb7a93ee7c3100ab2adb1224f5330933a7bcc7d652d2822d08eed8d0a27c/_data
There is no www or custom_img Folder

I do not have a path in the docker or the server in Teddycloud that states:
/teddycloud/data/www/custom_img

see here:
https://forum.revvox.de/t/access-tonies-custom-json/1812/4?u=jay, I added a description how to upload images and how to point to them in the tonies.custom.json.

short summary: I simply uploaded the images via the TeddyCloud GUI and used an according file path.

Thank you, that worked!!!
