Is the 6 Pin Socket of the NFC-PCB solderable

Hello everyone,

I got a broken Tonibox from my brother which only gave a sound when I pressed down hard on the maintenance slot at the bottom. After taking it apart I quickly found that one pin of the 6-pin socket of the NFC-PCB is broken off (and only connects if pushed into it).

Now, I thought of soldering it back onto the PCB, but the connection does not look like it’s solder at all. Its more of a gray powderish paste. So my questions are:

  • Can I solder it, or is there a better alternative (e.g. because the area is heat sensitive and thats why the gray paste was used?)
  • Would you recommend removing the socket completely, cleaning the connections, and soldering every pin?

Thank you in advance,
Best wishes.

Please send a photo.

This is solderpaste. It could be enough to heat the pads to reflow it.

I could not get the paste to reflow. However, with a bit of flux and solder, I got a strong connection.

Thanks for the help.
