Issues getting SD card to work

Hey there,

(I already posted this here, but wanted to try it with a dedicated topic to maybe get some more people seeing it: SD Card not working - #15 by ezcGman )

I checked out the SD Card compatibility guide ( microSD compatibility | Toniebox Hacking ) and ended up buying the “128GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC I 1 A1” from here: SanDisk Ultra Android microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card 128 GB + Adapter Single Pack: Amazon.de: Computer & Accessories

Sadly, I still can’t get the Toniebox to accept the SD card… It lights green for a brief second, then LED stays off and no sound is played. I should mention though that I seem to have a “newer” v1 / CC3200 which Tonie seems to sell right now: v1.2.1.

What I tried before:

  • Used “Rufus” as described in the video linked here to just format the card with FAT32: Trouble finding compatible SD card - #4 by housejet . Didn’t work.

  • Used Win32DiskImager (as described here: SD Card not working - #4 by OliKo ) to create an image from the original disk, then write it to the new SD card.

    • As my Windows Disk Management didn’t let me resize the partition, I just left it at 8GB and left the rest unallocated: Doesn’t work.

    • I used “IM Magic Partiion Resizer” to resize it and use all the unallocated space behind: Doesn’t work…

Does somebody maybe have any other hints or ideas what I could look for why it keeps not accepting that SD card?

Thanks and greetings,

Andy!

So update here:

While I still can’t get the 128GB SanDisk Ultra to work, I just went through my pile of SD cards I still had and first card I tried instantly worked: A 64GB Amazon Basics: Amazon Basics MicroSDXC - A2 U3 - Read Speed up to 100MB/s - 64GB - Black: Amazon.de: Computer & Accessories

I used Rufus to format the card using the guide linked here: Trouble finding compatible SD card - #4 by housejet

So I guess the SanDisk is suddenly incompatible with the CC3200, at least the updated version I have.

64GB is good enough, so I leave it here
