Looking to set up TeddyCloud with all 3 different Toniebox hardwares

I’ve been combing through all the info, but I’m not completely certain on a few things that I’d need for my set up. Looking for some confirmations here.

I have one of each of the different Tonieboxes (one of each of the hardware board versions - CC3200, CC3235S, and ESP32). I’m looking into setting up TeddyCloud, mainly so that I can slightly alter the Tonies we already have. Thinking some additional tracks to certain Tonies, and replacing some tracks on other Tonies. Additionally, I want to easily continue to buy new Tonies and have them work like normal.

Am I correct that all 3 board versions are able to be flashed so that they work with a locally run TeddyCloud server? I already have the software up and running, but haven’t configured anything or set up any boxes.
One of the boxes I’ll keep with me, and the other 2 can go to the kids, looking for advice for which one I should keep. I assume that the one I keep is the one I’d keep connected to BoxineCloud, so that I can continue to get the content. The other two boxes would have their internet blocked at the router, and they can just play locally from TeddyCloud.

I haven’t used the software yet, so forgive me if this is obvious, but for the box that I keep, after I download the content from Boxine, can I access those files over WiFi, or do I need to keep that box’s SD card easily accessible?

I’m just not seeing the full picture, so hoping for some guidance here. Thank you!
Oh, also, I don’t have any tools like the UART module, so any tips on that as well, considering I have all the various hardware versions. Thanks!!!

With teddycloud you can use all 3 boxes. Connection to boxine is still possible afterwards with teddycloud inbetween. There is no need to block boxine connection.

Difficulty level for flashing the boxes are different.

Level 1 easy - 10 hardest.

Esp32 level 3
Cc3200 level 4-5
Cc3235 level 7

At least in my opinion. (I have esp32 and cc3200 and the tagconnector for cc3200 (will make it easier to 3-4) and the clamp for esp32)

Esp32 can be flashed using teddycloud gui, other boxes have at least integrated guides.

Tc hostname or ip must be at most 12 chars long.

Cc3235 needs some dns routing iirc (details see integrated guide)

There are several ‘Newbie’ guides available in the Revvox Forum. You may want to check them out as well:

So, please confirm my understandings:
No need to have easy access to any of the SD cards.
All boxes will have normal WiFi operation (no blocking at router).
New Tonies can be placed on any box, and I can use TeddyCloud to become an “intermediary” only on specific Tonies I want.
All 3 boxes will be flashed.
For CC3200 and ESP32, I need a UART programmer?
For CC3235, I need a CH341A programmer?

You need sd card access on cc3200 for the initial flashing process, but not after that.

All traffic towards boxine goes trough teddycloud. You can disable it for certain tags (like custom ones). You need access to teddycloud to get new content from boxine. (Cc3200 can be easily switched to original firmware and could contact boxine directly again with ofw1 active)

Confirmation for the other things.
