I would like to transfer a CD, of which I have made a backup copy, to a custom Tonie.
When I drag all the individual tracks from the CD into Tonies → Audio Encoder, I end up with a single .taf file. I can assign this file to my RFID tag. However, I cannot skip tracks forward or backward by tapping on the box.
If I upload all the files individually, one after the other, and save them in the same folder, I can only assign one file to a Tonie. That doesn’t help me either.
When I create a playlist and assign it to my Tonie, it doesn’t play anything. It doesn’t seem to work that way.
Now my question:
1.) How can I assign multiple individual tracks to a Tonie (or custom tag) so that chapter markers or tracks can be accessed dynamically by tapping on the box?
2.) What exactly is the TeddyAudio playlist intended for?
3.) Is there an easier way to upload several individual audio files without them being merged into one large file without jump marks?
4.) The information for an original Tonie shows the individual tracks as a list. Is there a way to display such a list for my own tags as well?
Thank you very much, I look forward to your answers.
Thank you very much for your quick reply and the tips. Everything seems to be there. I’m just being as clumsy as a dog trying to lay eggs.
If I understand you correctly, the procedure would be as follows:
Drag and drop all tracks onto the Tonies → Audio Encoder.
This creates a .taf file that also contains the jump marks. Assign this .taf file to my RFID tag. Once the data is synchronized with my box, I should be able to jump through the tracks by tapping on the box.
If I want the view for my tag to be the same as for an original Tonie, I have to manually adjust the tag’s tonies.custom.json and then activate Reload Tonies.json in the GUI.
This also means that I don’t need a TAP in this case.
One more question:
When I borrow a Tonie from friends, TeddyCloud pulls the original content. The Tonie is also displayed perfectly in TeddyCloud. Now I give the Tonie back to my friends at some point. To continue using the content without having the original Tonie, I see two options.
1.) I place an RFID tag on the box, assign the original .taf file to the tag, create the tonies.custom.json, find the matching image, and optimize the display of the RFID tag so that it looks like an original Tonie with the original content.
2.) Change the UID of the original Tonie in TeddyCloud to the UID of my custom tag. This will allow me to play the content on the Toniebox using my own RFID tag.
Which of the two options should I use, or is there a better way?
