Let’s move on to the next question, I am aware that the RFID tags are recommended by RFIDFriend. However, there are also patches (e.g. ‘No UID check’ ) that suspend the check after E0:04:03.
This check is hard implemented in Teddybench.
Is it possible to bypass this check in Teddybench when assigning the UID (my UIDS start with E0:04:01)?
Does the Teddycloud, which I have not yet set up, offer the possibility of linking other UIDs?
Or have I completely misinterpreted this patch?
TeddyBench is limited to the original UIDs.
You may workaround it by using the 03 and renaming the Audio files in the CONTENT directory of your microSD into 01.
teddyCloud has no limits regarding the UIDs.
I have a very similar issue and would like to ask for your help:
My CC3200 Toniebox is connected to my Teddycloud, running on my homelab. Custom URL and the Alt CA patch worked. Now I extended the ngCfg.json as follows in order to use other tags (more details about the tags below):
"ofw2": {
"checkHash": true,
"hashFile": false,
"watchdog": true,
"ofwFix": true,
"ofwSimBL": true,
"patches": ["blockCheck.310", "altCa.305", "uidCheck.307", "noPrivacy.310", "altUrl.custom.305"]
},
I tested with a SLIX-L tag from RFIDFriend, which I did use before with the box and tada, I can read the UID with my smartphone again. So I do beleive it worked.
Now about the tags: I wanted to have smaller tags for my 3D printed custom figures. I obtained those: NFC Klebetags ICODE SLIX 10x10mm - Shop NFC
When I read out the type and UID via smartphone via NFCtools, it shows:
Type: ISO 15693 - NXP ICODE SLIX
Serial: 15:70:DB:07:D0:01:04:E0 (for example)
Memory Information: 112 bytes: 28 blocks (4 bytes per block)
Compared to the ones from RFIDFriend:
Type: ISO 15693 - NXP ICODE SLIX-L
Serial: 16:2C:F4:0E:50:03:04:E0 (for example)
Memory Information: 32 bytes: 8 blocks (4 bytes per block)
I thought that blockCheck.310 + uidCheck.307 would be sufficient to make it work. BUT: Toniebox could not recognize them.
What did I miss? Any idea?
Thanks!
Check the privacy password. Iirc the SLIX doesn’t support that
Added these two:
noPass3.310
secondPwZero.305
…and it worked! Great.
But to share my experience with the tags linked above with others: It works that way, but it doesn’t work as good as with original Tonies or the RFIDFriend tags. What I mean with that? Well, it only works along the outer shape of the inner (colored) square. My explanation is, that the antenna of those 10x10mm tags is much smaller and it needs to be right above the antenna of the Toniebox to get enough power etc.
Does anybody know by chance, how Boxine solves this? In many figurines, there is simply not enough space for large antennas… Maybe they use these? NFC Glass Tags ICODE SLIX2 4x22mm - Shop NFC
