I currently have a FT232RL

as far as I can see I don’t have a dtr. So according to wiki I have to reconnect RTS to GND every time? What is the best way to do this? just connect the wire briefly by hand?
Yes, just connect the two jumper wires for a moment before you send the command
ok, I have done that. I get the following message from the cc3200tool when I send a command
Connected, reading version…
but it does not continue
any hints?

How you connected the wires
i have used this guide from baumeisterde
the only difference is, RST is not connected to DTR, bc no DTR.
UPDATE: I have reset the Toniebox about 20 - 30 times and I was able to execute one command successfully. i don’t know why i need so many attempts for it to work once

I also always get the “timed out while waiting for ack” message. The connections are correct but when I plug in the UART adapter the Toniebox lights up green, is this the UART mode? I connected DTR to RST and VCC to SOP2. What can I do to make the connection work?
Edit: Now I have connected the VCC bridge with SOP2 in the box and now the communication works.
