Which hardware version to get?

Hi everyone,

I am planing to use TeddyBench and maybe teddyclolud at a later point in time.

Which hardware revision would you recommend, especially in regards to long support?

Esp based V4? What about V3 and V1/2?
What the easiest why to tell which version a TonieBox is built of? MAC address?
