Will this USB to serial adapter work?

Will this work for flashing a CC3200 box: C232HM-DDHSL-0 - FTDI
I still have this from, I think an old STMicro project.

The only way to break your box is maybe to connect GND to VCC and vice-versa. If you do other connections wrong, nothing should break.
