Hello, we bought the advent calendar Tonie 2025 and now we are facing the problem that it has loaded day 1, but no longer the others, because apparently another file is added online every day.

How can I tell the Teddycloud to reload the current content and if possible every day until Christmas.

Why not enabling cloud access for this tonie and do a refresh on the box (Hold one ear for a few seconds)? This way it should resync with the than actual content.

The Tonie is on default Setting in teddycloud. I guess it has cloud access because it downloaded day 1.

Which ear should i press? I dont want to brick or reset the Box with teddycloud and the certifactes.

please try develop branch. its fixed there.

Other workaround would be renaming the linked taf file in library.

I’m also stuggling. Even on today’s dev build it only has “day 1” loaded and the box is not reacting to a long single ear press at all while it’s playing. Also activating “live” did not change a thing.

Any other hints what I might do wrong?

According to the Tonie-FAQ it shouldn’t matter which ear is pressed:

    1. Make sure the Toniebox 1 is switched on with no Tonie on it;
    2. Place the Toniebox 1 within range of the Wi-Fi network you are connected to. If you’re not connected, you’ll need to re-connect first.
    3. Press one ear of the Toniebox 1 until you hear a beep (about 3 seconds). The Toniebox 1 will then update and sync.
    4. Wait until the light is steadily green and emits another beep.

Thanks, with no tonie on the box it makes a “beep” sound followed by a “dadaaaa” a few seconds after. still only day one is playing from calendar Tonie.

EDIT: I just manually deleted the TAF and when putting it on the box again it reloads the audio. But then it ONLY reloads “day 3”. My understanding was that every day another day is added?
Also the box itself does not sync, it still replays day 1.

Currently you have to delete or rename the assigned taf file to get it actualised.

the change on develop seems not yet to fix the problem.

The previous days are played AFTER the current day is played.

So tracklist per day is:

  • Current day
  • General intro
  • Day 1
  • Day 2
  • …

Thanks, then the tag should at least be all right. But that means i manually have to rename the file every day and manually link it to the tonie?

EDIT: This did not work either. I added _03 to the tag file and changed the source linked to the tonie. It still plays the cached version

You mean pushing the ear until it beeps? Many times without any effect.

It might be still buggy, but it’s already under Investigation. Just delete the json in the content folder for that tonie and it will work. Hopefully it get solved soon.

Still not solved but we are coming nearer.

box makes two freshnesschecks within one.

set the image in your docker compose from latest to develop.

The Advent calendar Tonie has been working normally for the last three days, but today it won’t download day 4. It says the download was canceled and that I should check my internet connection, but it’s working normally and is stable. The log only shows the normal freshness check.

I haven’t changed anything in the Teddycloud version; I’m still running v0.6.4 from March.
Should I change it accordingly?

EDIT:
Deleted the .taf (again) so now it starts a fresh download. Works, but still shows the custom content icon afterwards.
